Although Mauricio Pochettino’s disappointing season was marred by a number of problems, the head coach did an excellent job of uniting his seemingly disparate group of young players into a cohesive unit and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Although it may be difficult to quantify in terms of wins and losses, the team’s growth in areas like selflessness, focus, determination, and maturity was evident in how the players handled different challenges and bounced back from the many setbacks they encountered.
As much as the players must remain professional under these circumstances, the news of Pochettino’s departure is unlikely to have a positive effect on morale, particularly considering that we appeared to be making progress and establishing a solid foundation for next season. Several players have expressed their joy at playing under Pochettino and even their love for the manager.
Nicolas Jackson’s tribute post to the manager, which included a facepalm emoji, is a prime example of this. Additionally, Jackson reposted a November article from Pochettino in which the Argentine manager discussed creating “something special” at Chelsea. Oh no.

In addition to being the subject of much public attention, the head coach often singled out Jackson for specific criticism, including for his erratic behavior on the field. Not only did the young forward blossom under Pochettino’s tutelage this season, but he is only one of many players who have made discernible strides ahead in the last 10 months.Cole Palmer thanked Pochettino for fulfilling his dream in a real Instagram post, while most players included tributes in stories. Palmer’s first season was unforgettable, and it would not have happened if Poch hadn’t put his faith in him.
