Sydney Sweeney’s $6.2m mansion she bought with fiancé lies empty as renovations continue at home despite couple’s split
Sydney Sweeney’s dream Los Angeles home she bought with her then-fiance is still undergoing major renovations despite the couple’s split.
The U.S. Sun has obtained exclusive aerial images of Sydney, 27, and her ex Jonathan Davino’s $6.2 million Bel Air compound.
Sydney, who called off her wedding recently to her long-term partner, 41, bought the fixer-upper at an auction after a bidding war, according to reports.
Property filings show the couple paid $250,000 over the original asking price for the home, which was once owned by Hollywood screenwriter, Delmer Daves.
Photographs show the property lying empty with discarded materials in the front yard.
A source told the U.S. Sun workers have been seen at the home in recent days as they continue the huge project.
Jonathan was also seen at the property this week with Sydney’s dog, Tank, as he checked on the progress – as it appears work will not be halted at the home.
Sydney and film producer Jonathan, who were first linked in 2018, got engaged in 2022.
They are yet to confirm their split but the actress has been seen without her engagement ring.
Jonathan was also pictured meeting construction workers at their property in March, while Sydney was rumored to be staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Their 1930s property sits on 1.25 acres with 4,477 square feet of space and offers five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Although their plans for the home are unknown, the property provides an “excellent opportunity for full-scale new construction,” according to a listing.
It features a two-story house and a separate guesthouse in the back.
The grounds at the 4,500-square-foot home were previously full of overgrown trees and weeds and Sydney and Jonathan have had their work cut out for them.
A source recently told The Sun, “Sydney and Jonathan have split and are having time apart from each other. They were supposed to be getting married in May but for now that’s off and they’re seeing where they go from here.”
The actress’s busy work schedule is said to have been a factor in the separation as she continues to pull in movie and TV offers, along with big brand deals.
Meanwhile, Sydney owns other homes including her first purchase, a $3 million property just a mile down the road from her Hollywood compound, which was bought in 2021.
Sydney has recently posted from her home in Florida and was also pictured at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week – again without her engagement ring.
She was joined by co-stars including Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar to promote the movie, The House Maid, based on the psychological thriller novel by Freida McFadden.
Sydney has sparked romance rumors with her Twisters co-star Glen Powell, as she attended his sister’s wedding over the weekend.
A source told The U.S. Sun about their “very close relationship.” “I’d say friends – very close relationship and bonded over their work together on the film,” the source claimed.
