If there is one thing that can be said about Chelsea at this stage, it is certainly that they have set themselves up for a promising future.

It has been a key part of the mantra installed by Todd Boehly since he took over as the owner of the club two years ago that they would invest heavily in some of the top talents in the game early on.

The aim of this is to beat fellow elite sides to deals, which they seem to have been able to achieve on a number of occasions.

The highlight addition until recently had been Kendry Paez, with the 17-year-old already starring for Ecuador’s senior side.

That was until the weekend though, when the club formally announced that they had completed a deal to sign Estevao Willian.

The youngster has continued to impress for Palmeiras, and will do so until the player officially moves in 2025.
