Chelsea are reportedly now looking to Germany as they get closer to the transfer window officially opening this summer.
The Blues are set to be busy again in the market as they look to give adequate backing to yet another new manager at Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca was the man selected to replace Mauricio Pochettino after just one campaign in charge, and the long contract he has been handed suggests that there is plenty of hope that he can be the right man to take the project into the future.
A lot will perhaps depend on the transfer window and the signings they make, with it already being reported they are prioritising adding in attack.
This includes Michael Olise, with it perhaps being noted just how strong and important the wingers were during Maresca’s time as Leicester City manager.
Chelsea interested in Chris Fuhrich
However, it has been claimed he is not the only wide man the club are looking at, with a report from CaughtOffside today saying that they are showing interest in a potential deal for Stuttgart star Chris Fuhrich, who has a release clause around £22m.
The German scored eight goals and assisted seven more in the league in what was a really strong season both personally and for his side.
The report went on to say that the Blues are rivalling London rivals Tottenham for his signature, as well as a number of clubs in Germany.
Muller surprised by Fuhrich
The emergence of Fuhrich has surprised a number of people, however one person who may not have been too stunned is Thomas Muller.
The Bayern Munich star said last season that he was surprised that the 26-year-old had not actually already been picked up by a top side.
The Blues have a number of positions that they are keen to strengthen this summer, and they have already looked to boost their prospects at the back with a deal for Tosin Aderabioyo already announced.
