Cole Palmer made his first appearance at a major tournament last night for England in the 0-0 draw against Slovenia.

Despite being a second half substitute, it was clear to see the quality many Blues fans have been more than aware of following his incredible first season at Stamford Bridge.

It is certainly fair to see that England’s performance improved when Palmer and the likes of Kobbie Mainoo were introduced, as they limped their way to the top of the group.

It remains to be seen if Gareth Southgate decides what he saw was enough for the young star to play in the upcoming Round of 16 game on Sunday, however Chelsea fans seem to have made their mind up on the matter.

Chelsea fans rave about Cole Palmer for England

They took to Twitter in their drones to state that they’re of the belief that he is far too good to be held back as a substitute for the remainder of the tournament.

One user said: “Only played 20 minutes and already England’s best performer in the Euros!”

Another added: “Cole Palmer did more in 20 minutes than some England players have done in 3 games, surely he starts the next game.”

A third claimed: “He done more in 20 min than Saka for whole Euro.”

Another said: “Cole Palmer came on and looked like England’s best player. He is so good man. Chelsea are blessed.”

Finally, one stated: “Cole Palmer needed only 19 minutes to remind the world the player he is.”

One Chelsea player who did not have quite the same impact was Conor Gallagher, with it looking clear to everyone before the game even began that he was facing an uphill battle to impress.

England are back in action on Sunday, with their current opponents likely to be Ian Maatsen’s Netherlands at this stage.
