Chelsea are reportedly keen to pay the money thought to be required to sign one player this summer.

The Blues are set for a busy summer with both signings and sales as they look to give sufficient backing to new manager Enzo Maresca ahead of his first season as a Premier League manager.

They have already moved quickly to sign defender Tosin Adarabioyo, with a number of top clubs putting themselves in the mix to bring in the free agent.

It is believed they are also making moves at the other end of the pitch, and have a particular player in mind as their number one target at this stage.

Michael Olise has been mentioned as a player the club are really interested in bringing in for the second consecutive summer.

Recent reports have claimed that the Blues have moved forward in talks with Crystal Palace to try and get closer to doing a deal, with his release clause being in the region of £60m.

Now, the Evening Standard have claimed that they are prepared to pay that fee in order to complete the deal this summer.

The Blues are being rivalled for a deal by a number of top Premier League clubs, who were all no doubt impressed by what they saw when they saw him in action last season.

The Frenchman also had a night to remember on a personal level when he played at Stamford Bridge earlier this season. He found the net and gave Levi Colwill a tough time at the back in the process.

Where he ends up remains to be seen, but a move to West London would likely spell danger for Noni Madueke.

The youngster made a real mark on the side in his final few weeks of last season, however it would be tough to see him taking minutes over Olise if the situation arose.
